4/9/2022 Joeshmoes Coffee & Waffles

Another new business has opened in Grain Valley. We now have a young, local Grain Valley 2020 grad, entrepreneur-owned COFFEE SHOP!! Joeshmoes, owned by Joseph Pittman, opened on 4/9/2022. We were there to welcome him, celebrate his big day, and support his endeavor. Everything about Joeshmoes is amazing, the coffee, the food, and the building. You will not be disappointed!! Joseph is a local 2020 GVHS grad and absolutely loves everything about Grain Valley. Joseph and I talked for quite a while and he truly is a young man that has the drive to make all of his dreams come true. I challenge you to stop in and try some of his coffee and waffles, you will be a forever customer!!! Congrats to you Joseph on your successful week!! Thank you for doing your part to make Grain Valley the best place to be!!!

What a crazy busy day for the Partnership this day was. TWO ribbon cuttings in one day!! We are not complaining, just the opposite, we are ecstatic. Our tagline is “Grow Grain Valley”, so this day completely embraces our tagline!!

First on the day’s agenda was Dell Powersports, owned by Kyle and Maegan Spencer. Our ribbon-cutting event was the kick-off to their “Road Rally For A Cause” fundraising event for Make a Wish. The ribbon-cutting took place at 10 am and let me tell you that place was buzzing with excitement. This road rally brought in over 400 UTV’s. That is a lot of visitors to Grain Valley!!! This was a special celebration because we were able to share this event with our Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce friends. Both Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross and Grain Valley Mayor Chuck Johnston were in attendance and congratulated Maegen and Kyle on their amazing business. I believe I also overheard a few friendly rivalry digs at each other. Congratulations Kyle and Maegan on your successful first season here in Grain Valley. We are so grateful that you chose Grain Valley to be your business home.

The day of celebration ended at Purple Peace Foundation’s new Connection Center in Blue Springs. I am sure you are asking… Blue Springs??? But “Grow Grain Valley” is your above-mentioned tagline… Well, it is, however, when a business that has been a part of the Grain Valley Partnership for a while and their own personal growth means they need a physical place to call home, and the PERFECT location for their needs happens to be in Blue Springs, well YOU CELEBRATE THAT WIN FOR THEM!!! Because ultimately their growth is our growth. We are a family. Purple Peace Foundation is a nonprofit that was founded by Holly and Mark Brady due to the loss of their daughter, Amanda, to a seizure because of Epilepsy. They have now devoted their lives to honoring Amanda by bringing education, awareness, and support to anyone and everyone they can reach about Epilepsy. Holly and Mark and PPF Team, we are blessed to have you as a part of the Grain Valley Partnership. Congratulations on your Connection Center!!!

Heavenly Touch Reborn Nursery – 3/19/2022

We love celebrating our businesses. On 3/19/2022, we celebrated Heavenly Touch Reborn Nursery’s ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY!! This family-owned business opened in 2021 here in Grain Valley (originally located in Independence) and truly is a unique niche. Ronda Cox and her husband Jim (Cox Trucking) have really turned what was once an eyesore into a beautiful relaxing storefront. Ronda and her daughter Brittany Sylvester work hard to “turn ordinary dolls into lifelike creations”, it truly is a work of art. The love and the attention to detail that they put into each doll is incredible. They sell both vinyl and silicone dolls and they even have a few animals, I believe I even saw a Yoda doll in the store. If you haven’t been yet, this is a must-go-to store in Grain Valley. It smells just as a nursery should, has clothes and accessories galore, and the babies are just adorable!!! Located at 124 E 3rd Street Grain Valley, MO.

Club Carwash- 3/16/2022

We had a great time celebrating Club Carwash. The weather was perfect, the snow the week before forced us to postpone. Did you know?? Club Carwash is a family-owned business NOT a franchise. This once small business opened up location number 60 last week and projects to have 125 locations by the end of the year. At each location, the first week they are open, they donate all the proceeds from the $1.00 wash to a charity of their choosing. At the Grain Valley location, the check to Travis Kelce’s foundation, 87th & Running”, was in the amount of $4,800.00. The Grain Valley location has set a record number of “memberships” in the short time they have been open. Club Carwash has plans to open up another 8 locations around the KC region by the end of 2021.

Chamber Benefit Plan

Did you know that your membership to the Grain Valley Partnership also opens up the opportunity for you to offer health insurance to your employees? The Chamber Benefit Plan is the perfect option for small businesses that have 2- 50 employees. (Have more than 50 employees, that is okay, our broker can find an option that works for you). How does this work? The Missouri Chamber of Commerce has created this program that allows us to come together and create our own group. We get to continue to do what we do as a small business and receive the “benefits” like we are a large business. Best of both worlds.

Your only requirement for having access to this amazing opportunity is to be a member of the Grain Valley Partnership. Not a member, join today and you can get started today with our broker. Click the JOIN THE PARTNERSHIP button on the home page or under the Chamber tab, click join the Partnership. It is that easy. Our broker will work hard to find you the best option for your business!!!
