What a crazy busy day for the Partnership this day was. TWO ribbon cuttings in one day!! We are not complaining, just the opposite, we are ecstatic. Our tagline is “Grow Grain Valley”, so this day completely embraces our tagline!!
First on the day’s agenda was Dell Powersports, owned by Kyle and Maegan Spencer. Our ribbon-cutting event was the kick-off to their “Road Rally For A Cause” fundraising event for Make a Wish. The ribbon-cutting took place at 10 am and let me tell you that place was buzzing with excitement. This road rally brought in over 400 UTV’s. That is a lot of visitors to Grain Valley!!! This was a special celebration because we were able to share this event with our Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce friends. Both Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross and Grain Valley Mayor Chuck Johnston were in attendance and congratulated Maegen and Kyle on their amazing business. I believe I also overheard a few friendly rivalry digs at each other. Congratulations Kyle and Maegan on your successful first season here in Grain Valley. We are so grateful that you chose Grain Valley to be your business home.
The day of celebration ended at Purple Peace Foundation’s new Connection Center in Blue Springs. I am sure you are asking… Blue Springs??? But “Grow Grain Valley” is your above-mentioned tagline… Well, it is, however, when a business that has been a part of the Grain Valley Partnership for a while and their own personal growth means they need a physical place to call home, and the PERFECT location for their needs happens to be in Blue Springs, well YOU CELEBRATE THAT WIN FOR THEM!!! Because ultimately their growth is our growth. We are a family. Purple Peace Foundation is a nonprofit that was founded by Holly and Mark Brady due to the loss of their daughter, Amanda, to a seizure because of Epilepsy. They have now devoted their lives to honoring Amanda by bringing education, awareness, and support to anyone and everyone they can reach about Epilepsy. Holly and Mark and PPF Team, we are blessed to have you as a part of the Grain Valley Partnership. Congratulations on your Connection Center!!!
